Determining Your Pregnancy Date
The joy of knowing that you are pregnant is a source of real excitement for most women. If you are pregnant and have had been having a regular menstrual cycle, and know the date of your last menstrual period, or know your conception date, you can easily determine your due date easily. You wouldn’t have to wait for the doctor to tell you, however confirming it with them is important.
There are two ways of determining your due date
1) Based On the Last Menstrual Period.
If you know the date of your last menstrual period, you can determine your due date by adding 9 months and 7 days, to the first day of your last menstrual period.
2) Based On your Conception Date
This method though is not a very clear one, and does not guarantee clear-cut results. You can determine your due date by subtracting 7 days, and then adding 9 months to the conception date. This method works when one has intercourse only once during the fertile phase and also remembers the due date.
Just sitting at home you can determine your baby’s due date. Confirming with the doctor can greatly help, and ensure that you prepare a nice welcome for the baby.
Keep these points in mind and have a safe and happy pregnancy
