Panic Attacks Pregnancy
Panic attacks disorders of anxiety are common during the pregnancy period.It may be so that few get these disorders before the pregnancy. While others might get it during the pregnancy and rest get them once the period of pregnancy gets completed. The period of pregnancy can be stressful especially for those who are worries a lot.
Actually, during pregnancy period the levels of serotonin a chemical which is produced by the body during the times of worry and fear becomes imbalanced in the brain.This triggers the mood disorders, depression,and even panic attacks.The effect of panic attack during pregnancy are not good. It affects the ability of the women to cope with the family and also effects the birth of the baby.
Symptoms Of Panic Attack During Pregnancy:
The symptoms of panic attacks during pregnancy can be summarized in the following points:
- Shortness of breath
- Heartbeats racing fast
- Dizziness
- Hot flashes
- Some psychological affects can also be noted which includes fear of losing control,fear of inadequacy and fear of dying.
Tips To Control Panic Attacks During Pregnancy:
Few tips to control panic attacks during pregnancy are:
- As soon as you feel the attack start breathing slowly. Take the breath deep in and then exhale it out slowly. Do this repeatedly until you feel relaxed.Relaxation is the best way for easing panic attack.
- Nutritious diet is must. make sure you take adequate amount of green vegetables, fruits, proteins etc. Lean meat, fish, egg whites, paltry, beans are all very essential for keeping your mind and body cool. This is because they help in producing the chemicals which are used for keeping body cool.
- Exercise is very necessary. Go for a walk or do some yoga but physical activity is important. These will relax your mind.
- Adequate sleep is necessary. Make sure you sleep soundly at night. If you will not have proper sleep it could create a tension like situation as you mind had not got the proper rest. So make sure of having proper sleep at night.
