Bleeding Uterine Fibroids

Uterine fibroids are found in the women’s uterus. These are noncancerous structures which are found in the fertile stages of the women. These are also known as leiomyomas, fibromyomasor only myomas. Uterine fibroids are not associated in forming uterine cancer and they never convert themselves into cancer too.

Symptoms Of Bleeding Uterine Fibroids:
Bleeding fibroids are the most common symptoms of their presence. Some other symptoms includes:

  • The most common symptom for the presence of fibroids is heavy menstrual cycle. Normally bleeding lasts for 3-4 days in menstrual cycle. But those ladies who are having fibroids will have menstrual cycle which will last for seven days or so.
  • Sometimes bleeding in between the periods also occurs.Therefore whenever this condition or some other abnormal condition takes place contact your physician immediately.
  • Pelvic pressures can increase the size of the uterus. In adverse the size of uterus can grow up to a 3-4 month old pregnant stage. Such pressure can create difficulty with the bowel movements, urinary incontinence and frequency, and frequency.
  • In rare cases fibroids can even press the uterus, which can result in kidney dysfunction.
  • Feeling of pressure can even result in irregular uterus shape.

Treatment For Bleeding Uterine Fibroids:

The treatment of fibroids depends on their size and their placement. Usually small fibroids can be treated with the help of few medicines which can shrink the fibroids permanently. The bleeding fibroid can be stopped with help of birth control pills which have the capability to stop bleeding immediately.

The removal of fibroid becomes difficult after menopausal condition takes place as the levels of estrogen falls rapidly. So, surgical procedure is the only left to treat such condition.
