Pregnancy Recipes – 13-16 weeks

During pregnancy, especially between 13 – 16 weeks, nausea reduces and you may feel better and more energetic, and some women start eating a balanced diet again. So, here are two recipes packed with nutrients, which are useful for a pregnant woman between 13 – 16 weeks.

Trout and ricotta pate

This light pate is very delicious, which makes a quick lunch and is the best way to get oily fish in the diet. This dish serves 2-3and the preparation time is only 5 minutes.  This dish is rich in Omega3 fatty acids and protein.

Ingredients

Some of the ingredients used are:

  • 100 g ricotta cheese
  • 150 g trout fillet and grated lemon
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Two large sprigs fresh dill

Preparation

1.First, mash the trout lightly with a fork.

2.Add the rind, lemon juice and ricotta cheese.

3.Mix all these contents and season it with black pepper.

4.Snip the dill into the mixture and mix them again.

5.Serve this with crusty bread.

Two pear and walnut salad

Red pears add a better look to this salad. The thyme and apple salad adds the old English flavor to this pear and walnut salad. The preparation time is only five minutes. It is rich in vitamin C and E and helps in the release of sugars.

Ingredients

  • Two tablespoons olive oil
  • 50 ml of apple juice
  • Lamb’s lettuce to serve
  • One-tablespoon cider vinegar
  • Two tablespoons of olive oil
  • Half tablespoon of fresh and finely chopped thyme
  • 1 red rand ripe pear that is sliced lengthwise
  • 1 ripe avocado that is also sliced lengthwise
  • 50 g walnuts chopped

Preparation

1.First, you need to place the olive oil, thyme, cider vinegar and the apple juice in a bowl and blend.

2.You can season to taste.

3.Then place the lamb’s lettuce on a dish and arrange the avocado and pear slices over the top. Sprinkle walnuts over them.

4.The last thing is to pour the dressing over the salad and serve.

Relish these two dishes and grab all the nutrients that are needed for the good health of the baby and you as well.
