Is It Safe to Fly During Pregnancy?

Those women who are healthy and have not had any complications with their pregnancy can easily fly in the first seven to eight months of their pregnancy.

Just make sure that before planning your trip you always consult your doctor and take any recommended precautions.

When to Fly During Pregnancy:

If you want to plan a trip before your delivery, then the first and second trimesters of your pregnancy are best. But precautions should be taken in these trimesters as well. Consult your doctor before planning your journey. She will guide you as you make your travel plans.

Flying in the Third Trimester of Pregnancy:

It is not advisable to travel in the third trimester of pregnancy. If it is very urgent, then contact your doctor and take her advice. Women who are not suffering from any complications, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, vaginal bleeding, or carrying multiples, may be able to travel.

Many conditions can result in pre-term labor during travel. Make sure that you follow all of your doctor’s instructions while you travel.

If you have experienced complications then it is advised that you do not fly as it can be harmful for both you and your baby.
