Supplements To Help Edema During Pregnancy

Edema is a condition which normally takes place during pregnancy. It is the condition in which the ankles, feet, legs, and hands become swollen. The swelling occurs because the body retains water, which is the result of various changes in the bodies of women.

As the baby grows, the uterus enlarges, putting pressure on the blood vessels of the legs and pelvis. This results in the slowing of blood circulation and allowing the blood to accumulate in the lower portion of the body.
