Painful Fibroids during Pregnancy

Fibroids are large masses made from tissue cells of the uterus. They are a type of non-cancerous tumor, which can grow in and around your uterus, distorting the shape and size of the organ.

Fibroids and pregnancy can raise several questions. The most important among them are can women with fibroids become pregnant? If yes, is it safe at this stage?  In the following information, we will discuss these and some other issues:

  • It is difficult to become pregnant when fibroids are in the uterus because fibroids cause uterine spasms, which prevent pregnancy. If it is near the uterine wall, it prevents implantation.  If it is near the fallopian tube, it stops the fertilized egg from reaching the uterus or the sperm to flow into the tube.
  • Another problem is that the drugs which are used in treating them can raise the level of hormones in the body.  This can cause difficulty in conceiving.
  • Surgical treatment can also be a risk. This is because it can cause secondary damage to your uterus.
  • The condition of pregnancy also increases with the fibroids as pregnancy increases the secretion of estrogen in the blood.
  • If you are not pregnant and have fibroids, then you can go for a body cleanse; it is the best method to get rid of unwanted toxins in your body. You can also take herbal remedies to maintain hormonal levels.
  • If you are already pregnant, then you cannot take herbal medicines or do a body cleanse, but there are still a few super foods which can be taken. These super foods bind to the toxins and hasten the growth of fibroids and escort them out of your body safely.

Painful Fibroids during Pregnancy:

In many women fibroids cause no complications in pregnancy. Fibroids cause light vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain. These are the general symptoms found in most pregnant women. But this does not mean that they affect the baby. The major concerns with fibroids during pregnancy are preterm labor, placental abruption, and restricted fetal growth.
