Determining Your Pregnancy Due Date

The joy of knowing they are pregnant is a source of real excitement for most women. If you are pregnant and have been having a regular menstrual cycle, and know the date of your last menstrual period, or know your conception date, you can easily determine your due date. You won’t have to wait for the doctor to tell you, however confirming it with your doctor is important.

There are two ways of determining your due date.

1) Based On the Last Menstrual Period:

If you know the date of your last menstrual period, you can determine your due date by adding 9 months and 7 days, to the first day of your last menstrual period.

2) Based On your Conception Date:

This method is not a very clear one, and does not guarantee clear-cut results. You can determine your due date by subtracting 7 days from your conception date, and then adding 9 months. This method works when one has intercourse only once during the fertile phase and also remembers the date.

Keep these points in mind and have a safe and happy pregnancy.
